Lucy Fine, Registered Nurse, Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, and Certified Professional Leadership Coach, specializes in individual, couples and group therapy, and maintains a private psychotherapy practice in both San Francisco and Rockridge (on the borders of Berkely-Oakland). She is an advanced practioner in the theories of Systems-Centered, Yvonne Agazarian, PhD; Emotionally Focused Therapy, Sue Johnson, PhD and PACT, a Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy, Stan Tatkin, PsyD.
She also coaches leaders in both the private, not-for-profit and public sectors. As a leadership coach since 2000, she offers models of thinking to gain clarity around goal setting, decision making, vision and purpose. She offers tools and the opportunity to build skills to increase leadership capabilities including navigating complexity, strategizing difficult conversations, giving and receiving feedback and creating collaborative environments of learning, lending to action.
With over 25 years experience as a marriage and family therapist she currently serves as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are systems thinking, adult attachment theory, the Enneagram, interpersonal neurobiology, mindfulness training, cognitive behavioral, and body awareness. In addition, her focus is to build the capacity for fearless love. Whether you are in a couple, partnership, at home or at the workplace, showing up with a sense of self-advocacy requires curiosity, openness, and empathy to grow compassion for yourself and the others around you. It requires skill to stay in context and to not personalize or be reactive to passing emotions. Lucy supports the skills for clarifying intention, holding attention and releasing tension in the body so that you may develop clearer and more effective communication.
Lucy Fine is an interactive practitioner. Her approach provides support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges and increase emotional well-being. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. Thirty years of martial arts and yoga practice offers Lucy a unique awareness to enhance embodied and skillful presence. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
In addition to being a couples therapist, Lucy has conducted trainings in leadership development, systems-centered group therapy, and mastering difficult and strategic conversations. She has been coaching leaders and entrepreneurs for 17 years.
